Note for reviewers: This is a screenshot of the actual opt-in flow at quipster.net. Required disclosures (program name, message frequency, msg & data rates, STOP/HELP keywords, consent-not-required, links to terms and privacy) are all displayed in the disclosure text adjacent to the unchecked consent box, before the consumer submits.

1. How Opt-In Consent Is Collected

Quipster collects SMS opt-in consent through two methods, both of which constitute clear, affirmative consent under TCPA and CTIA guidelines:

Method A — Web form opt-in with email verification

The consumer visits quipster.net, enters their email address and mobile phone number, and must actively check a consent checkbox — which is unchecked by default — before the form can be submitted. The full consent disclosure is visible directly beneath the input fields, above the submit button, before any action is taken.

After submission, Quipster sends a one-time 6-digit verification code to the email address provided. The consumer must enter that code on quipster.net to verify ownership of the email address. Verification confirms the email is real and prevents abuse from typos and impersonation. No SMS messages are sent during this step.

The exact disclosure language shown to consumers on the web form is:

"By submitting this form, I agree to receive SMS text messages from Quipster at the mobile number I provide, consisting of ongoing AI assistant replies to messages I send. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your usage. Reply STOP to cancel. Reply HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase."

After email verification, the consumer is shown Quipster's SMS number and instructed to text it from their phone to begin the conversation. The first SMS in the conversation is sent by the consumer; Quipster does not send unsolicited messages.

Method B — Consumer-initiated SMS

A consumer who already knows our number may begin a conversation by texting us directly. The consumer's act of sending us a text message is itself an affirmative request for a reply, and constitutes opt-in to receive responses from Quipster's AI assistant. The first reply we send confirms enrollment, identifies the sender ("Ping by Quipster"), and provides STOP and HELP instructions.

In either case, consumers can withdraw consent at any time by replying STOP. See section 4 below.

2. Messages Consumers Consent to Receive

Quipster operates a single SMS program: a conversational AI assistant ("Ping"). Consumers who opt in via either method described in Section 1 agree to receive:

Expected message volume: variable, driven by consumer usage. Quipster replies only when the consumer messages us; we do not send unsolicited or promotional messages. A typical free-tier user sends and receives a small number of messages per day. Paid subscribers may send and receive more.

Quipster does not send marketing or promotional SMS campaigns without separate, additional consent.

3. How to Opt Out

Consumers may opt out of all SMS messages from Quipster at any time by replying STOP to any message received. Upon receipt of a STOP reply, Quipster will:

Consumers may also opt out by emailing [email protected] or by submitting a request at quipster.net/privacy.

4. HELP Response

Consumers who reply HELP to any Quipster SMS will receive a response containing:

5. Message & Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply based on the consumer's mobile carrier and plan. Quipster does not impose any additional charge for SMS messages beyond what the consumer's carrier may charge. This disclosure is shown in full within the consent language on the opt-in form.

6. Consent Is Not a Condition of Purchase

Providing SMS consent is never a requirement to access, purchase, or use any Quipster product or service. Consumers who decline to provide consent are not penalized or disadvantaged in any way. This is stated explicitly in the opt-in disclosure shown on the signup form.

7. Data Use & Privacy

Quipster collects consumer contact information (email address at opt-in; mobile number upon account activation) solely for the purpose of delivering the communications described above. This information is not sold, rented, traded, or shared with third-party marketers.

For complete data handling details, see the Quipster Privacy Policy at quipster.net/privacy.
